Assessment
Assessments are carried out in the mornings and take approximately 1½ -2 hours. We require parents to fill out a form online preferably a week prior to the appointment, to enable us to prepare appropriately. The main purpose of the assessment is to establish the need for therapy intervention, and whether a referral to any other professional is indicated.
Therapy
If therapy is indicated, this usually takes place on a 30-minute basis, but may be up to 60 minutes, and is undertaken once or twice a week, depending on the need and the availability of the parents. Should the need arise, the therapists may attend team meetings, with other professionals e.g. at schools.
